Santa video app? No download needed.

It works fully in your phone's browser — no install, no app store. Here is the honest breakdown of what that is actually like.

Why there is no app — and why you will not miss it

For a seasonal product used once or twice a year, an app is a hassle. You have to find it, download it, wait for the install, open it, maybe update it, then grant permissions. Every fix waits on app review before it reaches you. A browser-based tool skips all of that — you tap a link and you are in, on whatever device is closest.

Browser-based

  • • No download, instant access
  • • Updates automatically
  • • No permissions to grant
  • • Works on any device

Native app

  • • App Store download required
  • • Fixes wait on app review
  • • Update nag screens
  • • Permissions, storage, tracking

Pros & cons — the honest version

What works well

No app to download. Opens in any browser — Safari, Chrome, Firefox, whatever.
Touch-friendly. Buttons are big enough for thumbs (44px minimum).
Video streams directly in the browser — no external player needed.
Works on Wi-Fi and mobile data (4G/5G). Text input uses almost no data.
Add to Home Screen turns it into an app-like experience with its own icon.
Share sheet integration: tap the share button, send the link via any app on your phone.

What could be better

~Video generation takes under 15 minutes on mobile, same as desktop. You cannot speed this up.
~Typing on a phone keyboard is slightly slower than desktop for long recipient descriptions.
~Older phones (iPhone 8 or earlier, budget Android) may have slight UI lag on the video playback page.
Picture-in-picture does not work in all mobile browsers yet.

~ = works but could be better. ✗ = known limitation we are working on.

With internet

Generate the script, pay, and wait under 15 minutes for the render. After that, the video streams instantly. Download the MP4 and you are set for offline.

Without internet

You cannot create a new video — the AI runs on a server. But a downloaded MP4 plays anywhere, anytime, no connection needed. Download before the big day.

Mobile questions, answered

Is there a Santa video app for iPhone or Android?

aisanta.fun does not have a native app — it runs in your phone's browser instead. That's a good thing: no download, no app-store permissions, no update nags. The site has a web app manifest, so if you add it to your home screen it opens full-screen like a regular app, with its own icon.

Does the Santa video generator work on mobile?

Yes. The entire flow works on a phone browser: describe the recipient, get the AI-written script, pay, and receive the video. The video plays in the same browser without needing a separate media player. All buttons and forms are sized for touch (minimum 44px), so you will not be zooming in to tap things.

Can I create a Santa video on my phone and watch it on TV?

Yes — create the video on your phone, then cast it to a TV via AirPlay (iPhone) or Chromecast (Android). The video link works on any device with a browser, so you can also just open the same link on a smart TV's browser. Downloading the MP4 to your phone and then AirPlaying it from the Photos app is the most reliable path.

Do I need Wi-Fi for the Santa video app?

You need internet to generate the video — the AI runs on a server, not your phone. Once it's ready, download the MP4 and you can watch it anywhere, no connection needed. Creating a video over mobile data (4G/5G) works fine too — you're just sending text, so it uses very little data.

Why is there no Santa video app in the App Store?

Building and maintaining a native app for a seasonal product isn't worth it. A browser-based tool updates instantly, with no app-review wait, and it works on any device without a download.

No app store. No download. Just a browser.
